Activities

• - Assessing planning projects, basic-investigation projects, examination and listing results, the Cau river basin's water source; submitting to The Hong - Thai Binh River Basin Management and Planning Board and relevant governmental bodies petitions of the above projects.
• - Assessing the collective water source exploitation and use; flood prevention and the basin's water protection.
• - Collaborating with relevant agencies III implementation and supervision of planning projects approved by authority bodies.
• - Proposing irrigation development investment priorities and possible solutions to distribution of the basin's water source.
• - Updating and managing data for the basin's water source management, exploitation, use and protection.
• - Proposing and chairing programmes of capability promotion for organizations, individuals and communities in the basin.
• - Summing up and reporting to the Hong Thai Binh River Basin Management and Planning Board and provinces' People's Committees exploitation, use and protection of the basin's water source

• - Project solutions and specific policies and mechanisms on protection and deterioration prevention of the Cau River's water source.
• - Completion of River Basin Management Organizations in the basin's provinces for better and more effective river basin management.

• - Experiences of river basin management and planning in the world, especially from developing countries like Viet Nam or those with river basins similar to the Cau river basin.

• - Exchange visits to and experience sharing with river basin organizations in the world; the Cau River Basin Management and Planning Subcommittee is looking forward to NABRO's cooperation in river basin management and planning efforts.
