NARBO

The NARBO secretariat meeting was held at WaterHub of Singapore in the afternoon on July 1, 2010. The secretariat meeting is held once a year for the purpose of discussing future program and issues concerning NARBO activities. In this time, taking a chance that the NARBO secretariat members gathered to Singapore due to the meeting of the Steering Committee on APWF Regional Knowledge Hubs, we held the secretariat meeting there.

The participants for the meeting were as follows; Mr. Kenji Someya and Mr. Minoru Arai from Japan Water Agency, Mr. Wouter T. Lincklaen Arriens from ADB and Mr. Tadashige Kawasaki from ADBI. Also Mr.Rahardjanto from CRBOM, Mr. Mark Pascoe from International Water Center and Mr. Ramon Alikpala of APWF Knowledge Hubs Secretariat participated in the meeting as the observers.

As a main topic, we discussed the 4th NARBO General Meeting which was decided to be postponed in the last May and future NARBO activity which would be described in the next Action Program. As a result of the discussion, a basic plan of the next general meeting was confirmed among secretariats. Accordingly we’ll notify you of the Information on the general meeting in the near future.
