2. Field Visits (On 7th & 8th, Dec)
On 7th, we visited the Hoa Binh Hydropower plant in Hoa Binh Province, which is one of the most important infrastructures in Viet Nam. In this field visit, we saw the power generation facilities, the dam reservoir and others. Also, on 8th, we visited the Tac Huong Irrigation Scheme in Thai Nguyen Province, which supplies irrigation water for paddy fields in Thai Nguyen and Bac Giang Provinces. In this field trip, the example of water-related issue (upstream-downstream issues) was shown, so it was beneficial.
