The 10th World Water Forum, scheduled to be held in Bali, Indonesia in May 2024, will be a venue for discussion of recent global water issues. NARBO has noted the significant vulnerability of integrated water resources management (IWRM) due to recent extreme weather events, and is preparing to hold a session as part of its activities to discuss strengthening the resilience of water resource development facilities such as dams to overcome this vulnerability.
For this reason, an online seminar (the 3rd NARBO Webinar) was held in October 2023 on the theme of "Water-related Disaster Management and Water Infrastructure (Structural and Non-Structural) Development at the Basin Level to Enhance Water Security." The seminar was attended by over 550 people, mainly from NARBO member organizations, and included presentations from Pakistan, Indonesia, and Japan, primarily on recent topics related to flood prevention measures and facility development, and information was shared in preparation for the NARBO session to be held at the 10th WWF.
