The 26th Meeting of the High-level Experts and Leaders Panel on Water and Disasters (HELP) was held on November 25th at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC) at UNESCAP HQ in Bangkok, Thailand. From NARBO, Vice Chairperson of NARBO, Prof. Dr. Khin Ni Ni Thein, attended in person, and Secretary-General of NARBO, Mr. Ichihara participated online.
Mr. Ichihara delivered a presentation titled "Promoting a Practical Solution for Water Security through the knowledge and experience of IWRM in Asia" and introduced actual examples of ensuring water security through NARBO.
Prof. Dr. Khin Ni Ni Thein shared a presentation titled "How to Put Myanmar on the Global Water Map with Do-No-Harm Principle." Her presentation included an introduction to the formation of self-reliance through the "transformative water learning consortium" in Myanmar.
The conference featured many interesting high-level presentations on water related issues. NARBO will continue to support in providing valuable input as an IWRM practitioner in Asia at such forums.
