NARBO Chairperson, Dr. Imam Santos attended and made a presentation titled “Implementation of IWRM in Network of Asian River Basin Organizations (NARBO Activities)” in the 20th HELP held from Nov.10 to 11 in Bali, Indonesia, and prior to this, NARBO Secretariat Meeting was held to discuss its activities up to May 2024.
HELP was established in 2007 at the request of the UN Secretary General’s Advisory Board on water and Sanitation (UNSGAB) in 2007, to assist the international community, governments and stakeholders in mobilizing political will and resources for mitigation of water-related disasters occurred frequently all over the world. NARBO has been a member organization of HELP since 2007.
On November 9, NARBO Secretariates discussed an action plan over the next two years up to 2024 when NARBO will mark the 20th anniversary since its establishment in 2004, including the convening of General Meeting and the webinars at the same time. Draft of the action plan is being discussed now.
