On July 11, an inspection team from Mekong River Commission (MRC) led by the CEO, Dr. Anoulak, took the opportunity of the visit to Japan for the annual consultation to inspect a Japan Water Agency's site as an example of Japan's river management and water resources management.
As part of a mission to Japan by the delegation from MRC, a member of NARBO, Japan Water Agency welcomed the MRC Secretary General and four other members to visit Takizawa Dam where they received the explanation of the outline of JWA's business, facility management, water management, dam disaster prevention operations, etc. Afterwards, the MRC Secretary General and others paid a courtesy call at JWA Headquarters, where opinions were exchanged and information given on the MRC's recent initiatives and the situation in the Mekong River basin.
