Perum Jasa Tirta I (PJT1) and Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Inalum) formed two joint teams and visited Japan Water Agency. The joint team-1 & 2 conducted Benchmarking tour from May 19 – 23 and from May 26 – 30 2025, respectively. The number of the Team-1 members was 10 and the one of Team-2 members was 8. The table and the map show their itinerary of the tour and facility locations that they visited.
PJT1 is the Indonesian public corporation responsible for water resources management in five basin areas as of now, namely Brantas BS, Bengawan Solo BS, Jeratun Seluna BS, Bogowonto Serayu BS and Toba Asahan BS.
Inalum is an Indonesian state-owned company specialized in aluminium smelting, the largest aluminium producer company in Indonesia. INALUM was established in 1976 and is based in Asahan Regency, North Sumatra Province, Indonesia. The company manages the huge potential of electricity generated from Asahan River.
Their targets of the tours were to compare O&Ms of their dams and power plants to the ones of Japan.
