A meeting between the ADB TA Support Team and the young professional staff from Japan Water Agency (JWA) was held on August 19, 2025, to discuss future directions for revitalizing NARBO. Dr. Eva Abal and Ms. Melanie Gibbons led the dialogue, inviting views from JWA’s young staff and fostering an engaging and meaningful exchange.
The meeting began with brief self-introductions, followed by an overview of the TA’s objectives and progress from the ADB team. JWA's young staff then introduced JWA’s roles and current activities. Recent issues surrounding JWA and policy developments related to NARBO were also shared. It concluded with an open discussion on NARBO’s future direction.
This meeting provided valuable insights from JWA’s young professional staff, while also offering them a rare opportunity to engage directly with international experts. Overall, it was highly productive and beneficial for both sides.
